Wisconsin & Illinois Art Education Association Annual Art Conference, 2017

Frank Juarez, founder of the Midwest Artist Studios (MAS) Project will present at the 2017 Wisconsin Art Education Association in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on October 28, 2017 and at the Illinois Art Education Association Conference in St. Charles, Illinois on December 2, 2017.


Wisconsin Art Education Association Annual Art Conference, 2016

Frank Juarez, founder of the Midwest Artist Studios (MAS) Project will present at the 2016 Wisconsin Art Education Association in La Crosse, Wisconsin on October 20, 2016 at the Webster Center for the Performing Arts, 428 Front St S, La Crosse, WI 54601.

Description: The presentation introduces educators to artists who embrace the importance of art education, believe that their art experience was influenced or shaped by their K-12 art education, and are following their artistic dreams. The visits described will depict a close and personal approach into the studio lives of artists. Featured summer 2016 artists are Karri Dieken (ND), Sharon Grey (SD), Jody Boyer (NE), Lori Elliott-Bartle (NE), Rachel Mindrup (NE), Joe Bussell (KS), and Larry Thomas (KS). 

The MAS Project is supported by a grant from the  Kohler Foundation, Inc 

The MAS Team consists of Frank Juarez, Erika Block, Pat Ryan and Jonathan Fritsch.

Frank Juarez, founder of the Midwest Artist Studios (MAS) Project presented at the 2014 Wisconsin Art Education Association in Milwaukee and at Lawrence University in Appleton in 2015.

Description: The presentation introduces educators to artists who embrace the importance of art education, believe that their art experience was influenced or shaped by their K-12 art education, and are following their artistic dreams. The visits described will depict a close and personal approach into the studio lives of artists. Featured summer 2014 artists are Josh Wilichowski (MN), Vincenzio Donatelle (MN), Jane Ryder (IA), Jamie Bates Slone (MO), Catie Miller (MO), Todd Mrozinski (WI), Josie Osborne (WI), Paula Schulze (WI) and Suzanne Torres (WI).

The MAS Project is supported by a grant from the  Kohler Foundation, Inc and the Wisconsin Art Education Association.

The MAS Team consists of Frank Juarez, Erika Block, Pat Ryan and Jonathan Fritsch.
